Oh, Crimson Eye of the Eternal Night, under your blood-stained light, I beseech thee to hear our call once more.
By the power of your scarlet gleam, I ask you, oh Crimson Eye, summon forth your servants from realms beyond mortal comprehension. Aide us in our journey to finality, our journey to utopia.
Open the gates to the otherworldly and let your presence be known.
From the depths of the forgotten and the forsaken, bestow upon us your blood-red blessing.
Welcome back, Ghost Hunters.
The Blood Moon rises once again. For those that wish to commune, read on.
Today we’re excited to announce that this year’s Crimson Eye, Phasmophobia’s annual Halloween event, will start in-game from 9th October - 31st October. During the event, Ghost Hunters will be tasked with working together to complete goals in order to unlock in-game rewards. As with Cursed Hollow earlier this year, we have made several adjustments to the previous iteration of the event to make sure those taking part in the event have both an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Find out the details below on what you can expect to find in-game.
Witness the Blood Moon
Throughout the event, select maps will play host to guaranteed Blood Moon weather. Be warned, Ghost Hunters, for when the Blood Moon has risen you’ll face a more difficult challenge when conducting your investigations. Ghosts will have increased speed during hunts and your Sanity will drain quicker, however in return you’ll be granted higher rewards upon completing an investigation.
The below maps will be this year’s event locations;
6 Tanglewood Drive
Camp Woodwind
Grafton Farmhouse
Bleasdale Farmhouse
Point Hope
42 Edgefield Road
13 Willow Street
These maps will rotate in groups of 4 each day and will guarantee Blood Moon weather. Maps not included in the event, as well as those above that are not active on a given day, will have a random chance of Blood Moon weather as always.
Receive Rewards
For those who are successful in their investigations during the rise of the Blood Moon, various offerings shall be bestowed upon you. Firstly, all rewards received during Blood Moon weather will be boosted by 10%, meaning the higher the risk, the higher the reward.
On top of extra rewards from successful investigations, the Crimson Eye will bestow upon the community a range of rewards should they successfully complete the goals set out at the start of the event.
As with Cursed Hollow, we have introduced a split between Community Goals and Personal Goals based on feedback from previous events. A list of the Crimson Eye goals and their rewards can be found below:
Community Goal 1 - Receive the Child of the Cult ID Card & Badge set.
Community Goal 2 - Receive the Blood Moon trophy*.
Personal Goal 1 - Receive the animated Child of the Cult ID Card.
Personal Goal 2 - Upgrade the Crimson Eye trophy (can be completed 3 times).
Once these goals have been reached, the rewards will be auto-claimed for all players so there’s no need to worry about missing out!
*Please note: If you unlocked the Blood Moon trophy in 2024, you will not receive another.
October is an exciting time for Phasmophobia each year, and this one will be no different. Alongside Crimson Eye, we’ll be heading to TwitchCon San Diego with so much planned. Pop by our booth (#4818) in the Indie Zone to commune with the Blood Moon IRL or check-out our crew of streamers that’ll be streaming live from the show-floor and offering exclusive Twitch Drop rewards throughout!
Finally, if you’d like to get a sneak-peek at this year’s Crimson Eye event before it kicks off in-game, be sure to tune in to official Kinetic Games Partner streams which will be offering an early look at the event starting 8th October.
Happy Huntin’,
